[9] Special Event: Ryo Taniguchi Art Gallery

The characters designed by Mr. Ryo Tanighchi, a former exhibitor of Creator Expo, have been chosen as the official mascots of Tokyo 2020 Olympic/Paralympic Games.

In celebration, “Ryo Taniguchi Art Gallery” will be set up in CONTENT TOKYO 2018, where his past works will be displayed.

There, Mr. Ryo Taniguchi will be ready for 3-day show period to discuss about:

・Original character design
・Merchandise using past characters

~ Profile of Mr. Ryo Taniguchi ~
A character designer, born and living in Fukuoka city, Fukuoka prefecture. After high school, he studied and graduated from Cabrillo College in California, as an art major. After returning to Japan, he started original character creation and has been expanding his network by selling his original character goods on a street.

The characters created by him were adopted as Tokyo 2020 Olympic/Paralympic Games official mascots. (March, 2018)
